Paul "Frido" Dobson Paul "Frido" Dobson, age 55, passed away on September 5, 2012 due to natural causes. Paul worked at various jobs throughout the Erie area moving about until he found his niche. He lived his life the way he wanted and no one could persuade him otherwise. He was nicknamed by his peers as "The Flower Man". He loved fishing and hunting with his family and friends and enjoyed the time spent coaching boy's baseball. He had a special place in his heart for children. He was preceded in death by his father, William S. Dobson and his infant son, Paul Edward Dobson II. He is survived by his mother, Phyllis Dobson, three sisters: Mary Surovick (Mike), of Albion, Sue McFarland (Ed) and Rosie Dobson, both of Erie, three brothers: Bill (Edna) of Cambridge Springs, George (Terri) and Ed (Carolyn), both of Erie, as well as, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. Also his ex-wife, Pat, whom he remained in contact with, girlfriend, MaryAnn, and special friend, Brenda G. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Saturday, September 22 from 2 until 4 p.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial in Paul's name be made to the Mental Health Association, 1101 Peach Street, Erie, PA 16501.
