Obituary of Esther M. White

Esther M. White, 90, a resident of the PA Soldiers and Sailors Home of Erie, passed away there on Friday January 18, 2019.  She was born in Erie on November 7, 1928, a daughter of the late James and Mary (DiLeva) Fucci.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Norman P. White in 2002 and two sisters, Rita Jardine (2002) and Marilyn Filipos (2018).  

Esther worked for 45 years in the dairy industry and retired from Meadowbrook Dairy after 30 years of service.  She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for over 60 years.  Esther enjoyed being around the water and being outside, she loved flower gardening, birds and animals. 

She is survived by her sons, Charles (Lorre) of Millcreek Twp., Jerry (Christine) of Duncansville, PA and Bradley White (Harriet Beckman) of Erie; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. 

The family would like to recognize the wonderful nurses, caregivers and staff at the PA Soldiers and Sailors Home for the excellent care Esther received during her almost six year stay with them. 

Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and are invited to a prayer service there on Tuesday morning at 9:15 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
