Obituary of Mary M. Scheuer

Mary M. Waisley Scheuer, age 75, of McKean, PA, passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Elmwood Gardens. She was born on August 12, 1943 in Erie, PA the daughter of the late John R. Waisley and Marie G. Swanseger Waisley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Waisley and one brother-in-law, Norman Willow.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, John E. Scheuer; a daughter, Christine Scheuer Carter and her husband Robert H. Carter of Warwick, NY, a son; J. Michael Scheuer and his girlfriend Jennifer Finley; a sister Judith Waisley Willow, all of Fairview, PA, and a sister-in-law Patricia Waisley of San Antonio, TX.  Grandchildren include: Peyton Scheuer, Jack and Grace Carter, former step-grandchild Destiny Lundell and her daughter Delaynee, in addition to many in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mary graduated from General McLane High School in 1961, she worked at WJET TV, retiring in 2009.

Mary had a wonderful sense of humor and taught us how to laugh at ourselves and each other. She will be sadly missed by family and friends.

Her greatest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother, caring for her family was a priority. She would do anything she could to help her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed going to craft shows, crossword puzzles, playing scrabble, golfing in the “Bag Ladies” golf league, and spending time working in her many flower gardens.

A private service was scheduled at the convenience of the family. A celebration of life will be held later with friends and family.  Arrangements were under the care of the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd.
