Barry A. Mechling

Barry A, Mechling, age 71, of Erie, PA, formerly of Harrisburg, passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 19, 2019. He was born in Kittanning, PA on July 18, 1948, the son of the late Kenneth and Natalie Mechling.

He had resided in Erie for the past 4 and a half years.

Barry was a retired Conservation Officer with the PA Fish Commission.

He was a member of the Sons of Lake Erie and enjoyed fishing in his boat with all his fishing buddies, hunting, archery, and coaching, playing, and watching baseball.

He is survived by his wife Patricia “Patty” Mechling, three children; Barry Nelson Mechling, Shannon Williard, and Nathan Mechling, one brother Kevin Mechling, five grandchildren: Ethan, Owen, Maddy Mechling and Caroline and Natalie Williard.

A memorial Service will be held at the Word of Life Church, 27 Fellowship Dr., Halifax, PA 17032 on Friday, September 27, 2019 from 4:30 until 6:30 p.m. Erie Arrangements were handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd., Erie, PA 16506.
