So, we lost perhaps the sweetest lady I’ve ever known. She was not prepared for my arrival, and I certainly was not prepared for her departure, but I would have to say that we were more blessed than most to have her this long.
I am so excited for her (and jealous of if I’m being honest). After 93 years, her back doesn’t hurt, the Memories that were stolen by strokes and tia’s have all been restored, and all of the heartache, anxiousness, doubt, and uncertainty that comes with wearing our “human suits” have disappeared in the comforting warmth of Our Saviors embrace.
As hard as it is to say goodbye, I would not for a second ask her to come back. She along with Jesus are preparing a place just for me... and I know that one day (not too soon) she and I will be reunited... she will probably try to lift me up off my feet again like she used to when it was clear that I was too big for her to attempt, (we’re talking when I was 5’ 11”, and 190 lbs, ;-)) but that didn’t matter... I think she was just saying that no matter how big I was, her love ( a grandmothers love) could not be outgrown... I love you gramma! TTFN.
