Obituary of Alice Amon

Alice M. Zimmerman Amon Alice M. Zimmerman Amon, age 85, of McKean Twp., died Thursday, October 14, 2010 at St. Vincent Health Center. She was born on March 17, 1925, the daughter of the late, Robert C. and Evelyn E. Holland Zimmerman. She was the former owner and operator of Amon's Motel. She was also employed at Loblaws at 26th and Legion Sts. She was a member of Eastern Star- Gridley Chapter, Koinonia, and attended Lakewood Methodist Church. She enjoyed baking and cooking. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert A. Amon, three sons: Robert A. Amon, Jr. and his wife, Judy of Canadota Lake, Thomas R. Amon and his wife, Sue, of Titusville, Jeffrey A. Amon and his good friend, Paul, of McKean Twp., one sister, Mary L. Kader "Mikey" of Millcreek, one sister-in-law, Gladys Zimmerman of Wesleyville, four grandchildren: Randall Amon, Wendy Carson, Stephanie Fielding, Shannan McLallen, five great-granddaughters, two great-grandsons, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Leon "Bob" Zimmerman, four sisters: Lorraine Zimmerman, Dorothy Merker, Edith Picheco, and Ann Kennedy. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited there on Monday for the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery.
