Obituary of Ruby Farrell

Ruby Jewell Farrell Ruby J. Farrell, age 76, of Erie, passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at the Village at Luther Square after a courageous battle with colon cancer. She was born in Smethport, PA on March 26, 1936, the daughter of the late, Myron and Ethel Sayers. She had been employed at P & M Auto Parts and McCurdy Accounting. She was a member of Carriage Hill Methodist Church and the Cerebral Palsy Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter-in-law and caregiver, Karen Farrell, one daughter, Denise Shorts, six grandchildren: Ryan, Rhianon, Randi and Joe Farrell, Rebecca (Shorts) Shingledecker, and Thomas Shorts. She was preceded in death by one son, Ralph Farrell and her fiancé, Bill MacDonald. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Sunday from 5:30 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. conducted by the Rev.
