Obituary of Candyce Ross

Candyce Cain MacNinch Ross, loved her grandchildren so much. She went to our Lord on December 6, 2020, she was 71 years old. Candyce was born on January 23, 1949 a daughter of the late Harry L. and Gladys L. (Mattes) Cain. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, 2nd Lieutenant Ross A. MacNinch and one brother, Bradley Cain. Candyce graduated from Gannon University with a degree in English and was very active in plays and musicals there. She was an English teacher, at then Central High School and later a substitute teacher at Tri State Erie and Linesville, she truly loved teaching. Candyce loved to travel, she lived in Red River, NM, while raising her son she owned a restaurant there and loved the history of the Native Indians. She loved making jewelry and photography, everything she made was beautiful. Candyce also loved her animals and traveled with her two cats Iggy and Charley. She had a devilish sense of humor and will be forever missed. Candyce is survived by one granddaughter, Indra Rose Wilson; grandson, Quinn A. MacNinch; nephew, Jeffrey D. Klingensmith and her sister, JoLayne K. Klingensmith. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 1600 Peninsula Dr. Suite 15 Erie, PA 16505, the ANNA Shelter 1555 E 10th Erie, PA 16511 or the, eriefamilycenter.org. Funeral services were private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd. Erie, PA 16506.
