Obituary of Vivian Irene Seidl

Vivian “Vi” Irene Huyck Seidl, age 89, of Millcreek Twp., passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020 at Pleasant Ridge Manor. She was born in Fairview, PA on March 17, 1931, the daughter of the late Melvin and Esther Curtis Huyck. She was employed at Hoss’s, Giant Eagle, and at various factories in Erie. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and flower gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald J. Seidl, one daughter Pamela J. Eggleton, one grandson Joshua Seidl, four brothers: David M., Melvin, Jr., Robert, and Charles Huyck, two sisters; Dorothy J. Dicks and Nora Rearick. She is survived by her children; Gerald P. Seidl of Erie, Bradley D. Seidl (Lita) of Erie, and Sheila J. Anderson of Sheffield, two sisters; Norma Anderson of Harrisburg, Arlene Ventresca of Erie, one brother Frank Huyck of Edinboro, five grandchildren: Vivien C. Gambill, Taunia Kennedy, Lyzel Ahlgren, Bo Anderson, and Jeremy Anderson, eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at a later and safer time. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2115 West 38th Street, Erie, PA 16508.
