Obituary of Margaret Kahle Phillips

Margaret “Peggy” Kahle Phillips Margaret “Peggy” Kahle Phillips, age 88, of Millcreek Twp., passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born on February 13, 1932 in Sergeant, PA, the daughter of the late Lester V. and Esther Johnson Kahle. She was employed with the Millcreek Twp. School District for well over 40 years in food service. Peggy was a member of the Presque Isle Garden Club, Squaw and Paws Square Dancing, and Weis Library United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and reading. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters; Louise Asp, Ruby Dillon, and Pat Bostaph. Peggy is survived by her husband of 69 years, Wayne G. Phillips, Sr., of Millcreek Twp., two children; W. Gordon Phillips, Jr. (Nada) of Millcreek, Kristine Diehl (Lonny) of Kane, PA, five grandchildren: Amanda Phillips (Justin Poole), Melissa Swartzfager (Lee), Brian Frasher (Samantha), Sara Gillespie (James), Lindsey McGregor (Brad), 7 great-grandchildren with two on their way. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. with all Covid-19 precautions being enforced. Interment Weis Library Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dobler Hose Co., 37 Walnut Street, Girard, PA 16417 or to the West Ridge Fire Dept., 3142 West Ridge Road, Erie, PA 16506.
