Obituary of Matthew John Grosso

Matthew John “Matt” Grosso Matthew J. “Matt” Grosso, age 53, of Erie, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born on January 16, 1968, the son of the late Charles F. Grosso and Patricia A. Verno Grosso of Erie. Matt was a 1986 graduate of Tech Memorial H.S. and received an IT Degree in computer information systems from Tri-State Business Institute. He was most recently employed at the Erie County Care Management as an Administrative Systems Analysist. He was a solo entrepreneur and had many of his own clients. He loved to play the drums and other percussion instruments. Besides his father he was preceded in death by one brother Timothy Grosso. He is survived by his mother Patricia A. Verno Grosso, one sister Melanie Kobierecki (Michael) of Aliquippa, PA, three brothers; Michael Grosso of Erie, Daniel Grosso (Heather) of Erie, Patrick Grosso of Columbus, OH, three daughters; Leann R. Nelson of Erie, Savanna Stuntz-Grosso of Verona, PA, Kiera Grosso of Edinboro, PA, three grandchildren; Amyah Nelson, Dennis Nelson, Jr., Danielle Leburg, two nieces; Cheyanne Rozenek, Lucille Kobierecki, and his former wife Kimberly Stankiewicz Sweeney. Private services were held at the convenience of the family by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. Erie, PA 16506.
