Obituary of Richard F. Rajecki

Richard “Rich” F. Rajecki age 86 of McKean, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 23, 2021. He was born in Cleveland, OH on March 3, 1934 a son of the late, Frank and Mary (Dachtyl) Rajecki. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Delores (Waszo) Rajecki; three brothers, Martin, John and Joe Rajecki and one sister Fran Menosky. Rich worked at Gartner & Harf Co. and Specialty Steaks where he retired as a meat cutter. An avid outdoorsman he enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially with his family, and loved watching the deer and wildlife that roamed in his backyard. He was lifetime member of the St. Francis Ushers Club. Rich is survived by three children, Richard M. Rajecki, Renee (Robert) McDonald and Lori (John) Hess. He was affectionately called “Pops” by his two granddaughters that he adored and of whom he was so proud, Mackenzie McDonald of Pittsburgh, PA and Sarah Hess of Erie. He is further survived by one brother, Frank Rajecki, three sisters, Joanne Roman, Noel McAttee and Regina Bucho and his extended family. Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. Erie, PA 16504.
