Edward L. “Ed”, “UNC”, “Fast Eddie” DiCola, age 68 of Highpoint Towers in Erie, passed away at his home on January 27, 2021 following a lengthy illness. He was born in Erie on July 26, 1952 a son of the late, Edward L. and Alice A. (Sferra) DiCola. Ed was self employed as an auto mechanic and was currently being called to become a Chaplain with Billy Graham Ministries. He was a true car enthusiast, especially muscle cars, owning many throughout his life. Ed was also an avid sports fan of the Steelers and Atlanta Braves. He loved going to Seawolves games and enjoyed traveling to Florida. He is survived by his son, David (Amanda) DiCola: one sister, Linda (Michael) Carl; two nephews, Andy (April) and Ed (Liz) Yacobozzi; one niece, Christi (Steve) Farella; one great-niece and one great-great-niece. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory Inc, 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Friday February 5, 2021, from 5:00 PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 7:00 PM. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. All CDC Covid-19 guidelines must be followed.
