Obituary of Sally Hood McIlvried

Sally Hood McIlvried Sally Hood McIlvried, age 84, of Millcreek Twp., passed away after an extended illness on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Manchester Commons. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on July 28, 1936, the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret McCown Hood. Sally graduated from Thiel College and also from the D.T. Watson School of Physical Therapy. She had a 50+ year career as a physical therapist. She was very active at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed gardening and needlework. She was preceded in death by one sister Martom Jane Hood. She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, the Rev. David McIlvried, two sons; Alan McIlvried (JoAnn) of Gaithersburg, MD, Mac McIlvried of St. Charles, IL, one daughter Susan Lang (Joe) of Fairview Twp., grandchildren: Rachel and Jacob Hughes, Evan and Eric Lang, Sarah, Emily, and Hannah McIlvried and Skylar McIlvried. Friends may call at the Dusckas Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Monday, February 15, 2021 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and again on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church from 1 p.m. until time of service there at 2 p.m. Private interment WinterGreen Gorge Cemetery.
