Obituary of Myrtle Ann MacDonald

Myrtle Ann MacDonald Myrtle Ann MacDonald passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, March 6, 2021. She was surrounded by her loved ones; her granddaughter Victoria, her daughter Michelle, and her special caregivers; Laura and Bette. Myrtle was raised in West Springfield and graduated from Strong Vincent H.S. in 1953. She was a life-long Erie resident. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob MacDonald, her father Adam Marz, her mother Ruth Ann Marz, her nine siblings: Ralph, Andrew, Tommy, Oliver, Kenny, Eleanor, Evelyn, Helen, and Carol. She just recently she lost her son Bradley and her life-long friend Harvey Nicholas. Survivors include; her eldest son Bobby, two daughters; Michelle and Brenda, two granddaughters; Victoria and Chrissy, three great-grandchildren; Hannah, Tyler, and Chondy. Myrtle was employed at Loblaws Supermarket, Hammermill Paper Co., and Ricardo’s Restaurant. Her favorite past-time was chatting with friends over a hot cup of coffee. Myrtle played the piano by ear and the accordion. In elementary school she was an outstanding speller and was the last standing in the County Spelling Bees. For her family and close friends, a memorial gathering will take place on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the foot of Chautauqua Blvd. Private interment. All may come and call then! Funeral arrangements were handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd.
