Janet A. Shatto, age 88 of Erie, passed away on Saturday March 27, 2021 at Golden Living Western Reserve Nursing Facility. She was born on August 15, 1932 in Erie, PA, a daughter of the late Vernon and Alice (Swift) Godfrey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Shatto in 2001; one son Alan Shatto and two brothers Harry and Edwin Godfrey.
Janet was a wonderful homemaker who was very devoted to her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, where she sang in the choir and played piano. She was always there for anyone who was in need with no hesitation.
She is survived by her five children, Linda (Bernie) Przybyszewski, Diane (Frank) Graziano, Mark Shatto, Don (Linda) Shatto and Scott (Nancy) Shatto; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and one sister JoAnne (Steve) Kupezyk.
The family would like to thank the staff at Golden Living Western Reserve and Asera Care Hospice for all of their care and compassion.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd. Erie, PA 16506, on Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and are invited to a service there on Thursday morning at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery. All CDC Covid-19 Guidelines must be followed.
