She traveled the city in a paneled station wagon; taking kids to the Peninsula, sport’s practices, golf, and the pool. She also enjoyed going to the casino, traveling to golf tournaments, morning discussions at the donut shop, she loved morning feedings of her backyard menagerie of birds, turkeys, and small animals, and during Gannon University basketball games over a period of thirty years, one could hear Sallie’s cow bell after each basket scored. Sallie enjoyed dancing to Frank Sinatra and she cherished her evening glass of wine. She was one of the best pie bakers around and cared very much about others; always ready to help and pray for those who needed a prayer. She always said that “everything will work out”. The family would like to extend a special “thank you” to Sallie’s many wonderful caregivers from Interim Meadville and Home Instead and physicians; especially Dr. Robert Dugan and Dr. David Strasser, and a special family friend.
