THEODORE F. BRINK, SR.
…God and his family were his life and legacy.
On Monday, May 31, 2021, Theodore F. Brink Sr., surrounded by his family, peacefully entered the pearly gates singing his favorite hymn, “Sweet Bye and Bye”.
He was born on March 30, 1934, in Meadville, PA, to Albert and Ada (Roberts) Brink. He was a strong-willed man who was a true entrepreneur spanning his 87 years including: Brink’s Auto, Brink’s Superette, Battery Outlet, Ted’s Auto Sales, Arco, Totem Pole, and Lawsons alone and in partnership with his brothers in Erie and other companies across the country. He was also an award- winning automobile salesman at Hallman’s Chevrolet. His family was very proud of his accomplishments.
He served in the US Army as an inventory and ammunition loader. He attended Church of the Nazarene and Wesleyville Methodist where he sang in the choir and served on the board. Those who knew him well will remember how he loved to tease and make everyone laugh.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Ada Brink, his brothers: Albert Brink and William Brink, his sisters: Gloria Mook and JoAnn Adsit, and his grandsons Tyler Cooney and Bryan Bell, brothers in-law: James Mook, Scott Davis and Fred Adsit.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Nancy (Porter) Brink, his four children: Karen Oster (Dale), Theodore Brink Jr. (Deadra), Kimberly Bell (Rick), and Marla Snyder (Derek), along with his sister Charlotte (Brink) Davis, many nieces and nephews, 10 grandchildren, their spouses, and 10 great - grandchildren.
Per his wishes, there will not be a viewing. Instead he wished that his family and friends would celebrate his life on this earth and rejoice that he will no longer be in pain, but will be in Heaven, singing in the choir, visiting family, and eating anything he wants with those that has passed on before him.
His family wants to thank all of his doctors and nurses that assisted in making him comfortable in his last days, especially the hospice doctor, nurses, couriers, and aides through the Visiting Nurses Association.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local churches, animal shelters, Salvation Army or the Visiting Nurses Association in his memory.
