Thomas “Tom” A. Marinock, age 58, of Erie, went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. He was born in Manville, NJ on August 27, 1962, son of the late Andrew and Carol Marinock. Thomas is survived by his wife of 19 years, Katherine Marinock; his pets, Walma, Lily and Lou. He is further survived by his sister, Carol (Tony) Sidari of Hazel Township PA; two brothers, Andrew (Wanda) Marinock of McAdoo, PA and Chris Marinock of Harleigh PA; his aunt, Sue Brewer of Erie; sister-in-law, Carol Rexford of Erie; three nieces, Rachel Rexford, Andrea (Kevin) Kost, and Dr. Jenna Marinock; two nephews, Anthony Sidari and Andy Marinock; great-nephew, Lupo; and other aunts, uncles and cousins. Tom graduated from Hazleton Area High School and moved from Hazelton, PA to Erie in 2001. He retired from Ecolab Pest as Senior Service Specialist. Tom received many district and regional awards. He won the coveted “Cow” (leather jacket) at the training academy as the top student. He was the first to do this in his district. Tom was a very eclectic person. He was a collector of many things from jewelry, coins, art, antiques and anything unusual. Tom enjoyed auctions, garage sales, treasure hunts and buying and selling his rare finds. He loved to travel. He visited 33 of the 50 US States and Canada before his retirement. Everywhere he went, he loved to visit local sites, casinos and try local food and treats. Tom was the all-around guy. He could cook, bake, pick berries, forage for mushrooms, grow orchids and vegetables, hunt, fish, bowl and organize great events. He was a family man and loved his family and friends. Tom was a deacon at the Word of Life Christian Center. He loved candy, especially gummy candy and always gave candy to others. He was a pizza connoisseur. He was a great pet dad to fish, frogs, a turtle, a cat, dogs and a pot belly pig. He mentored many people and would give anyone the shirt off his back if they needed it. We were blessed to have a fantastic medical team over the last four years and would like to thank them and their staff.
