Angelo Paul Benson Angelo Paul Benson, age 67, of Summit Twp., passed away suddenly and bravely on Sunday, July 11, 2021. He was born in Buffalo, NY on October 11, 1953, the son of the late George F. and Rose M. Grisanti Benson. Angelo was a graduate of Gannon University (BA in English and teacher certification)) and received his RN degree from Jamestown Community College. He was employed as a RN at Hamot Hospital, St. Vincent Hospital, and Metro Health Center. Angelo was a member of the Presque Isle Corvette Club and show cased his personal “Grand Sport”. His pride and joy and constant companion (always by his side) was his dog, Samson. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He will be sorely missed by his beloved wife of 30 years Laura A. Silverthorn Benson, two sisters-in-law; Kathy Maloney (Ed), Chris Manzo (John), one brother-in-law, David Silverthorn (Karen), three cousins, Alicia, James, and Joe, niece, nephews, and a very close friend Carl. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd., TODAY, Wednesday, July 14, 2021, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and are invited there on Thursday, July 15, 2021 for the Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of NW PA, 2407 Zimmerly Rd., Erie, PA 16506, the Anna Shelter, 1555 East 10th Street, Erie, PA 16511, or to Because You Care, 6041 West Rd., McKean, PA 16426.
