Obituary of Joan Frances Duska

Joan Frances Duska, age72 of Millcreek Twp., passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday August 11, 2021, following a long battle with cancer. She was born in Erie on April 21, 1949, a daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Tulka) Biancosino.
Joan was a lifelong resident of Erie and worked as a secretary for the Erie County OCY department. She was an avid book reader and loved going to dances over the years with her husband Jerry and their close friends, Bob and Kathy Denning.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jerry Duska; two children, Jill Duska and Jim Duska; four grandchildren, Alayna Alicea, Xander Alicea, Jessica Jurkovic and Wade Jurkovic and one sister Susan Christian.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Monday evening from 6:00 PM until the time of the Memorial Prayer Service at 8:00 PM. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38205.
