Peggy Zuck Bedner
Peggy Zuck Bedner, age 72, of Millcreek Twp., passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family, after a 3-month battle with cancer.
She was born in Erie on March 30, 1949.
She was a 1967 graduate of Academy H.S.
Peggy was a Drug and Alcohol counselor, an Ice Wine volunteer, worked at Giant Eagle, was a secretary at OLP and while working there she sang at funerals and weddings, she assisted her husband to help establish and grow Bedner Snowplowing, and was a volunteer for the West Ridge Women’s Auxiliary.
Peggy was a Steelers fan, a NASCAR fan, she rode along at New Hampshire Speedway 2004, she owned a Jeff Gordon series Monte Carlo automobile, enjoyed crossword puzzles, board games, scrabble, Words with Friends, Mafia Wars, she owned two Kindles full of books, enjoyed gardening, and cooking for her family. It was an exciting time when she won a grand prize to take a ride on the Goodyear Blimp out of Akron, OH. Peggy loved to travel to Niagara Falls, Nova Scotia, the Caribbean, the Casino, and visit her cousin Dickie in San Antonio, TX.
Peggy is survived by her husband Gary M. Bedner, her children; Paul Marnen (Megan Romines), Chris Bedner (Susan), Thomas Bedner, her grandchildren: Michael Bedner, Jobie, Emma, and Parker Romines, and Delaney Marnen.
The family would like to thank the staff at St Vincent Oncology Dept. and the Interim Hospice for all their loving care.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 4 p.m. until the Rosary Prayers at 7:30 p.m. and are invited on Friday, September 3, 2021 to the funeral home for prayers at 10:15 a.m. followed by the Funeral Service at St. Jude R.C. Church, 2801 West 6th Street at 11:00 a.m. Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the West Ridge Women’s Auxiliary, 3142 West Ridge Rd., Erie, PA 16506 or to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
