ERIE, PA- Mary Ann (Donnell) Hrinda went home to be in the presence of her Lord Jesus on Monday, September 6, 2021 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Mary Ann, a beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother, sister and friend will be sorely missed. She was born on December 23, 1943 and is the daughter of Clarence and Edna Gouldsmith. She is survived by three daughters, Jill Hrinda-Patten (Kirk), Renee Fiebelkorn (John), and Amy Majczyk (Tom), four Grandchildren, Ariel, Tyra, Logan, and Rudy, and one Great Grand Child, Roman. She is also survived by two Brothers, Ted Goldsmith (Sandy) and Deb Donnell, and several nieces, nephews, brother and sister-in-laws and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Daniel Hrinda and Brother Bob Gouldsmith.
Mary Ann was happiest when she was helping someone. This passion shown through her work in housekeeping at the Manchester Presbyterian Lodge where she took time to talk with and encourage residents while gladly doing extra little things for them. She held various careers during her work life of bank teller, Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant, Personal Care Attendant, Cashier and nursing home housekeeper. Even when she retired she kept busy by giving back to her community by volunteering at Mission Empower, a Community Parent Resource Center working toward inclusion for children with disabilities in school and the community. If you received the annual Christmas card then Mary Ann touched your life by helping to get this to your home. Mary Ann loved being with her grandchildren, reading, and listening to music and singing, especially southern gospel, country and the oldies and watching the wild birds at her bird feeders. Even after she stopped recognizing her family, Mary Ann could sing to her favorite hymns and songs.
