Obituary of Leona M Chase

Leona M. Chase age 98, of Millcreek Twp, passed away on Saturday October 2, 2021 at Twinbrook Healthcare Center. She was born in Renovo, PA on May 18, 1923, a daughter of the late Harold and Iola (Swinter) Zerbe.
Leona moved to Erie in 1950 and married her husband, Robert C. Chase on August 8, 1952. He preceded her in death on April 12, 2006. Throughout her career she worked at Bell Telephone, Sears, Arthur F. Schultz and St. Vincent Health Center. She enjoyed reading, old music (especially Frank Sinatra) and walking at the Peninsula.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son Douglas Chase and one sister Betty Ray.
She is survived by one brother, James Krebs of Tioga, PA and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday October 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM in Laurel Hill Cemetery (Section 17). Arrangements are under the care of the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd. Erie, PA 16506.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to either the Erie City Mission, 1017 French St. Erie, PA 16501 or Grace Baptist Church, 7300 Grubb Rd. McKean, PA 16426.
