Obituary of James M. Esper, D.O.

James M Esper, D.O., 75, of Millcreek, died October 25, 2021. He was born in Braddock, PA to Fred Esper and Emily Esper. James received his Osteopathic Degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. James was a General Surgeon and served as Chief of Surgery at Doctor’s Osteopathic Hospital and Millcreek Community Hospital in Erie, PA. James was a very talented and gifted surgeon and was dedicated to his patients. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Emily Esper and his sister- in -law Barbara Esper. He is survived by his wife Charlotte J. Esper, of Erie, PA, his son Dr. Wallace J. Esper and wife Courtney, of Erie, PA, his daughter Jennifer J Esper, of Erie, Pa, and his loving Grandson James Wallace Ortiz. James is also survived by his sister Leila Bekic, of Erie and his brother Dr. Gary F. Esper. He is survived by several nieces and nephews and Godson Adam Esper. The family would like to recognize and thank Dr. John Kalata for all he had done for James over the years and always being so kind and compassionate. The family would like to thank the physicians and staff at Millcreek Community Hospital for all their help and assistance. Friends may call at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 4376 West Lake Road, Erie, PA 16505 for the Funeral Service on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Laurel Hill Cemetery. The Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd. is handling all arrangements.
