Obituary of Patricia Gail Petrinec

Patricia G. Jenkins Petrinec Patricia G. Jenkins Petrinec, age 76, of Millcreek Twp., went home to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, October 30, 2021, following a brief illness. She was born in Erie on May 9, 1945, the daughter of the late Russell N. Jenkins and Ethel V. Paulson Jenkins. A lifetime resident of Millcreek Twp., Patricia graduated from McDowell H.S. and Villa Maria College. She worked at Women’s Care Center with the Parenting Program and as an office manager at Erie Vespa. Patricia had a strong faith, believed in the power of prayer, and lived her life accordingly. She loved to travel, read, cuddle with her dogs, but above all, she loved people. This was shown throughout her life by the time she spent with her late husband, family, and friends, as well as the countless children and grandchildren she welcomed into her life and home; accepting and loving them as if they were her own. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Marjan (Mark) A. Petrinec. She is survived by her four children: Stephan R. Petrinec, Kristina M. Konieczny (Chris), Scott A. Petrinec, and Kimberly S. Rivera (Justin) all of Erie, 15 grandchildren (and spouses), 4 great-grandchildren, and 3 additional great-grandchildren arriving shortly. Also surviving is her brother Russell N. Jenkins (Susan) of Pittsburgh, one niece Melissa Aston (Matt) of WI, and one nephew John Petrinec of CA. As the chains of disease and death hold her no longer, we would like to invite those friends and family who wish to share in a celebration of her life to call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 3 pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 7 pm, conducted by the Rev. Jason Ackerman of Erie Christian Fellowship. Private interment Laurel Hill Cemetery.
