Obituary of Tomasz Edward Zieja

Tomasz Edward Zieja age 65, of Fairview, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday November 5, 2021. He was born in Starachowice, Poland on January 5, 1956 a son of the late, Tadeusz and Marianna (Serwicka) Zieja.
While in Poland Tomasz was an active member in the Anticommunist Solidarity Movement. This allowed him to seek political asylum and along with his wife Grazyna (Zwolinska) Zieja they immigrated to the United States in 1986. Tomasz was employed with Protech Powder Coatings as a Lab Chemist. He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church and was a computer whiz.
In addition to his wife of 35 years Grazyna, he is survived by their two children, Michal Zieja and Barbara Zieja and one brother, Andrzej Zieja.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd. Erie, PA 16506, on Friday from 3:00 to 6:00 PM and are invited to a prayer service there on Saturday morning at 8:45 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church 2401 West 38th St. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
