Please share a memory of Patricia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Patricia Ann Devine Boesch Brace, age 74, of Waterford, passed away at her residence in the early morning hours of Friday, November 19, 2021—her last days were ushered home to the Lord in the comfort of family, scripture readings, songs, and loving memories. She was born on December 14, 1946, preceded in death by her loving parents Howard Devine and Marjorie Devine (Cole). She was further preceded in death by her brother James Devine, sister-in-law Peggy Devine (Junkin), and brother-in-law James Miller; and her son Joseph Brace and son-in-law Eric Miller; and granddaughter-in-law Iona Franz (Weaver). Patricia is survived by her siblings Rev. Gerald Devine (Marlene), Rev. Kenneth Devine (Sue), Kathleen Countryman (Al), Susan Miller, Barbara Lyons (Dan), Roger Devine, Robert Devine, sister-in-law Karol Devine (Wittenburg), and sister-in-law Diane Boesch. She is further survived by her children Kimberly Miller Loos (Boesch) (Kirt), Kristine Boesch (Michael), William Boesch III (Susan), Brent Boesch (Lisa), Shelly Schick (William), and Tina Casbohm (Ed). She is also survived by her grandchildren Katherine Braithwaite (Benjamin), Michael Lawrence (Kayla), Justin Loubaugh (Haily), Jacob Hardinger, Corey Schick (Kaitlin), Paige Nulph, Anna Marschner (Max), Jonah Baybrook, Alexander Boesch, Allana Orlando (Tyler), Tina Drost (Aaron), Tammy Schick, Emily Hardinger, Lucas Miller, Hannah Boesch Joshua Boesch, Hunter Perry, and Jonathan Perry. Patricia is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Gabrielle Hardinger, River Hardinger, Connor Hardinger, Chloe Lawrence, Kaydin Hardinger, Rylie Hardinger, Joseph Brace, Penelope Braithwaite, Cambria Orlando, Isabell Schick, Mason Drost, Clementine Braithwaite, Lydia Hart, Morgan Drost, August Marschner; and Kaytlynn and Krishchan Franz. Patricia is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Patty could claim the lyrics written by Leah Sandlin, “I may not have riches as some others may, but I have a mother who knows how to pray. There may be some things I've missed in my youth, but I have a father who stands for the truth”. Patty’s parents established a legacy of prayer and trust in God and His Word. This heritage has been multiplied, reaching out from her to her great-grand-children. The lyrics go on to say, “I have a goodly heritage, I'm blessed with things you can't see. I have a goodly heritage, and that is worth far more to me.” Patty loved her “goodly” heritage and her family abundantly always claiming the verse in Hebrews 10:23 that says, “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for he is faithful that promised.” Patty was a former member of Walnut Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed serving through music and children’s ministries. Patty wanted to be a nurse, and although that dream did not come to fruition, it did not stop her from pouring herself into and caring for others around her. Having such a large family meant lots of opportunities to be together, reminisce, laugh, and support each other—which always filled her with joy. Patty gladly opened her home for visitors and made everyone feel wanted. Patty excitedly welcomed the next generation of babies with open arms and lots of wisdom. She also enjoyed walking in nature, crocheting beautiful blankets and clothes, reading her Bible, listening to her brothers sing and make music, square-dancing, old movies and westerns—especially anything featuring John Wayne. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Monday, November 22, 2021 from 3 until 7 p.m. and are invited to Walnut Creek Baptist Church, 6015 West Ridge Rd., Erie, for the Memorial Service on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. officiated by Rev.
