Douglas Boyd, III. Douglas Boyd, III., age 69, of Erie, passed away suddenly due to a heart attack on Friday, November 19, 2021. He was born on May 12, 1952, in Lansing, MI, the son of the Late Douglas and Dorothy LeNoir Gray Boyd, II. Doug received a BA degree in Biblical Studies and served in the US Air Force. He was employed at various companies in the security field, property management, and managed Papa Johns Pizza in Erie. He was a faithful member of McLane Church. He loved God, loved the Word of God, and loved sharing the Gospel. He is survived by his beloved wife Mary Simpson Boyd, his grandchildren: Abby, Christopher, David, and Doug, and two brothers Gregg and Mark. Friends may call at the McLane Church, 12511 Edinboro Rd., Edinboro, PA 16412 on Monday, November 29, 2021 from 4 P.M. until the time of the Memorial Service at 6:00 P.M. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McLane Church. Arrangements were handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd.
