Obituary of Margaret Nicotra Damore

Margaret “Marge” Nicotra Damore Margaret (Marge) Nicotra Damore, formerly of Millcreek Township, now residing in Lakewood Ranch, Florida, passed away at home on Friday, December 24, 2021. Born in Falconer, New York on October 17, 1926, daughter of the late Michael (Sam) and Jennie (Camarata) Nicotra. She graduated from Strong Vincent High School and then attended Erie Business School. She worked at GE Transportation in Erie, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Saint George Church, The General Electric Quarter Century Club, and Retired Employees Association. She volunteered at the Regional Cancer Center and the Millcreek School District. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, and time with her family and friends, especially her granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernie Damore, her parents Michael and Jennie Nicotra, her brother and sister- in- law; Paul and Dora Nicotra, her brother and sister- in- law; John and Melverta Nicotra, 2 nieces; Janet Baxter and Denise Nicotra. She is survived by her son and daughter- in-law Paul and Debbie Damore, 2 granddaughters; Amanda and Melanie Damore, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 4 until 7 pm and are invited there for the Funeral Service on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 10:00 am. Interment Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Erie Shriners Hospital for Children, 1645 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505.
