Obituary of Andrew Martin Brown

Andrew Martin “Marty” Brown, age 29, of Erie, was welcomed home into Heaven on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at VCU Medical Center. He fought a long, courageous, battle after going into heart failure in 2013. He receive a life-saving heart transplant in 2016, but then went into heart failure again in 2020.
Marty was born at Chandler-Gilbert Regional Hospital in Arizona on December 8, 1992. He is the son of Pamela and Robert O. Brown, Jr.
He graduated from Corry High School in 2012. He was a very talented musician. He played the trumpet for the marching band and was an amazing pianist. He was an avid football fan, truly one of the Pittsburgh Steelers biggest.
Marty was a loving husband and father. His son was the light of his life and his reason for fighting so hard. He had an infectious personality. Marty could and often made friends anywhere he went. He had a huge sense of humor and a laugh that could make anyone smile.
He was preceded in death by an uncle, Kevin Lakey; his paternal grandparents, Mary and Robert Oliver Brown, Sr.; and his great-grandparents, Eula Fay and Roland Kenneth Terry.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jessica (Bradshaw) Brown; one son, Colton Brown; parents, Pamela Jo and Robert Oliver Brown, Jr.; a sister, Khristina Jo Bowman, her husband and their children, Josh, Elena and Asher Bowman; three brothers, Mason Roy Brown, Ethan Roland Brown and his wife “Jojo” and Robert Oliver Brown, III; his maternal grandparents, Anita Gail and Don Roy Lakey; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends and family may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd, in Erie on Friday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm and are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Millcreek Community Church, 4444 Sterrettania Rd, in Erie on Saturday at 10 am, a Graveside Service will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery, in Corry at 2 pm, followed by a celebration of life at Relevant Church, 100 W. South Street, Corry at 3 pm.
