Nancy Grace Horanic Fuhrman


Nancy Grace Horanic Fuhrman, age 77, died Monday May 18, 2009 at Hamot Medical Center. She was born on March 29, 1932 in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. daughter of the late, Stephen and Jeannette Haubert Horanic. She has lived in the Erie area most of her life.


Nancy was a member of Sacred Heart R.C. Church. She worked at Brown Brothers Market for 13 years until her retirement in 1985. She enjoyed bowling, crafts, slots, and playing cards.


The widow of Eugene G. Fuhrman, she is survived by one daughter, Jean Ann Carter (Edward) of Fairview, 4 sons, William J. Fuhrman, Christopher J. Fuhrman (Annette), John P. Fuhrman all of Erie, and Eugene S. Fuhrman (Kari) of Graham, WA. One brother, Edwin Horanic (Velma) of Madera, CA.


11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her son, George E. Fuhrman and her grandson Matthew Ryan Fuhrman. 4 brothers, Frederick, Stephen, Eugene, and John Horanic and a sister-in-law, Evelyn Horanic.


Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrittania Road on Wednesday from 7 to 9 P.M. and Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. and are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart R.C. Church on Friday at 9:30 A.M. Internment will be private
