Obituary of Philip Gagliardi

Philip F. Gagliardi Philip F. Gagliardi, age 87, of Millcreek Twp., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Hartford, CT, on May 10, 1925, the son of the late, Daniel F. and Anna Rago Gagliardi. He served in the US military during his younger years. He was employed at and retired from the Wonder Bread Co. in East Hartford, CT. He was a member of the Asbury Heights Jehovah's Witnesses Congregation and enjoyed talking with people about the Bible, making people laugh, dancing, his cats; he loved life and his family, especially his granddaughter, Hollyann, who would call him "Poppy". He is survived by his wife, Shirley A. Lyman Gagliardi, three stepchildren: Sherri Biscoff of Millcreek, Richard Gloth of CT, Mike Gloth of Girard, one granddaughter, Hollyann Dunlap, two sisters; Marion Kamaroski of CT, Mildred Slomcinski of CT, one brother, Bob Nadler (Sally) of ME, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Danny Gagliardi, Jr. Friends may call at the Asbury Heights Jehovah's Witnesses Congregation, 3604 Asbury Rd. on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until time of the Memorial Service there at 2:00 p.m. conducted by Daniel Banach. Private interment at Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Regional Home and Hospice, 3526 Peach St., Erie, PA 16508.
