Obituary of JoAnn Heitzman Lubak

JoAnn Heitzman Lubak age 88, passed away on Monday June 13, 2022. She was born in Erie on February 22, 1934, a daughter of the late John and Irene (Weller) Heitzman. A graduate of Strong Vincent High School, class of 1952. She had been employed at Sears Roebuck and Co., and later worked with her husband Ed for 16 years at Ericson Memorials. JoAnn also taught ballroom dancing with Norman Young. She was an active member of the Fairview United Methodist Church for 42 years, where she was involved in United Methodist Women, the choir, Co-Ordinator of prayer chains, lay pastors and delivered communion to shut-ins for many years, and other various committees. She became a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church in 2015 and she loved to reach out to people and serve our Lord.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin J. Lubak in 1992 and a brother, John C. Heitzman (Vera) in 2008
Survivors include a daughter, Lynette B. Kinnear (Jeff) of Ocala, FL, son, Dale A Lubak of Ocklawaha, FL, son, Bruce E. Lubak (Maria) of Kempton, PA and a daughter, Renee I. Brooks (Rob) of Waterford, PA; nine grandchildren, Jeffrey Kinnear (Lynn), Jessica Ross (Cory), Tonya Kinnear, Kyle, Austin and Caitlyn Lubak, Alicia, Cole and Haylee; also, eight great-grandchildren, Tyler, Ayden, Mya Rose, Matthew, Alex, Olivia, Kylee and Aliyah and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM and are invited to the funeral service there on Friday morning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
