Barbara Christy Althof
Barbara Christy Althof, age 95, of Millcreek Twp., passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. She was born in Erie on August 4, 1926, the daughter of the late Albert and Mabel Goldsmith Christy.
Barbara was a graduate of Syracuse University and was a school teacher in the Millcreek Twp. School District for a number of years.
She was a long-time member of the AAUW and its book club, the Quilt Guild, and a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.
She was a passionate Bridge player and enjoyed the Erie Philharmonic and traveling.
She is survived by two sons; Edward C. Althof (Kathleen) of Millcreek, Roger G. Althof (Susan) of NC, four grandchildren: Benjamin (Tiffany), Emily Robertson (Andrew), Eric (Ashley), and Sara Mondziel (Steve), ten great-grandchildren, and several special friends.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Sunday, July 31, 2022 from 2 pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 4 pm. Private interment.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the UUAW Scholarship Fund, PO Box 9264, Erie, PA 16505.
