MaryBeth McCarthy was such an amazing woman and I am honored to have known and loved her, and miss her dearly! Friends of Mary Beth have enicated a fund for a memorial bench at Penn State Behrend, having a bench at Penn State Behrend in her memory will be such a comfort to me - a small token to a life well lived - a physical place that I and others can visit and remember times spent with her. I met Mary Beth through Master Gardeners of Erie County. She interviewed me when I applied to be a Master Gardener. Immediately, I knew she was “special”. She made me feel welcomed and I always enjoyed talking with her at our monthly meetings and various Master Gardener events. She will be missed by all of her fellow gardeners and friends.
