Obituary of Joyce E Russell

Joyce E. Pedersen Russell, age 80 of Erie, passed away following a two-month illness on Tuesday October 4, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Erie on April 9, 1942, a daughter of the late Jens O. and Clara E. Belin Pedersen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Russell; two sons, Michael and Bryan Russell; one brother, Gerald Pedersen and one sister, Barbara Merritt.
Joyce was a member of Grace Church and more recently the Flagship Free Will Baptist Church. Family was everything to Joyce and being with them meant the world to her. She also enjoyed her Gaither videos, watching game shows and taking long drives.
She is survived by two children, Donald A. Russell and his wife Becky and Tami Russell-Brown and her husband Edward; daughter-in-law, Mary Helen Russell; grandchildren, Michael Kimmy, Justin Russell, Danielle Russell, Thomas Russell, Abigail Brown, Angela Russell, Rachel Brown and Ricky Russell and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and on Friday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
