Obituary of Joshua Adam Markiewicz

Joshua Adam Markiewicz, beloved son and brother, born April 25, 1982. Passed away unexpectedly, he was born in Erie, PA, to Martin and Alexa Markiewicz. Joshua graduated with high honors from East High School in the year 2000. He worked previously at Erie Insurance and at the Verizon Call Center. Joshua enjoyed being outdoors, camping, fishing and using his metal detector. He liked to build things and try different hobbies, such as woodworking and leather working. He built his own forge to do metal shaping. He enjoyed reading and learning new things. He was an avid follower of college football and a fan of the Pittsburg Steelers. Joshua was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Sally Markiewicz; uncles, Jonathan Vidal and David Markiewicz and his godfather Daniel Chase. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandparents, Victor and Ada Vidal and Susan Shacklock, his siblings James Markiewicz (wife Tabitha Wolfe) and Amanda Markiewicz (fiancée John Worf); nieces, Maggie and Aubrey Leguard, nephew, Alexander Markiewicz; godmother, Sandra Markiewicz and numerous aunts, uncles, uncles and cousins. Joshua was an outgoing and caring person, who will be sadly missed. Friends May call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd. Erie, PA 16506. on Tuesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service there at 11:00 AM.
