Obituary of Clara H. Davis

Clara H. Davis, age 89, of Millcreek Twp. passed away peacefully at the Sarah Reed Senior Living on Friday, December 2, 2022. She was born on April 6, 1933 in Williamsport, PA, the daughter of the late Kenneth F. and Mae K. Brown Marshall. She was employed at and co-owned the family business, Davis Erie Sewing Center. She was a life-long member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, was a hospice volunteer, and was a member of Crusillo. She enjoyed sewing, reading, playing cards, dominoes, but the most joy she received was spending time with her family. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Ted E. Davis, Jr. Clara is survived by her children: Deborah D. DeCoursey (Daniel) of Millcreek, Carol S. Davis of Millcreek, Ted K. Davis (Elizabeth) of Millcreek, and Paul G. Davis (Teri) of Bradenton, FL. Also surviving are her sisters; Shirley Cunningham of Cogan Station, PA, Donna McCarty (John) of Williamsport, PA, two brothers; George Evans of Lake Charles, LA, Kenneth Marshall (Barbara) of Williamsport, PA, four grandchildren: Sara Grutkowski (Brian), Alex Simonelli (Vincent), Jaime Davis, Matthew Davis (Brittany), three great-grandchildren; Megan and Emily Grutkowski, Caleb Simonelli, one uncle Al Brown of Williamsport, PA, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the loving care given to Clara by the Sarah Reed Senior Living and Asera -Care Hospice. Friends may call at The Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 3 pm until 7 pm and are invited to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 3108 Sterrettania Rd. on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 10 am for the Funeral Service. Interment Erie County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or to the Sarah Reed Senior Living, 227 West 22nd Street, Erie, PA 15502.
