Obituary of Mary Lou Stanton

Mary Lou Stanton Mary Lou Stanton, age 81, a faithful Christian, loving mother, grandmother, and friend, went to be with her Lord on Monday, December 19, 2022 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA and graduated from Bellevue H.S. She was married 33 years to her high school sweetheart, Quentin, and has been happily reunited with him as he passed in 1996. She is survived by her two children Heather (Jonathan) and Shawn (Melissa) and her 5 beloved grandsons; Spenser Sembrat, Kevin Sembrat, Schafer Sembrat, Carter Stanton, and Clark Stanton. She had a wry sense of humor and was very active in Christian Women’s Club, Bible studies, and the Symphonic Singers of Erie. She also loved all animals, reading, crafting, flower arranging, and gardening and was often a fierce competitor playing games with family and friends. Please join us in celebrating her life. Visitations will be held at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 7 to 9 pm and Friday, December 23, 2022 from 9 until 11 am. At noon, following Friday’s visitation there will be a Memorial Service at nearby Grace Church, 7300 Grubb Rd., McKean, PA. A luncheon will be provided immediately following for all attendees. A private burial will follow in Pittsburgh.
