John Pavlinko
John Pavlinko, age 70, of Millcreek Twp., passed away at St. Vincent Hospital on January 5, 2023 from Covid complications. John was born in Erie, PA on April 9, 1952 to the late John and Elizabeth Pavlinko. John graduated from Iroquois High School in 1970. After graduation, John studied business and accounting at Edinboro University. He went on to teach classes at Erie Business Center. After a short-time teaching, John worked as CFO of several manufacturing companies in the Erie area. John had a wonderful childhood growing up in Lawrence Park. He was an avid boater and belonged to Bay Harbor Marina. You could always find him at the marina on Eight Great Tuesdays picnicking with his friends from E dock. After retirement from Sterling Technologies, John created his own business, Second Wind Consulting, and began working with his friend, Mark Grahame until the time of his death. John as never one to sit idle, he liked keeping his mind active. John was preceded in death by his parents, his stepson, Michael Palermo, and many aunts and uncles. Survivors include his beloved wife of 21 year, Sandra (Eastman) Pavlinko, his daughter, Jessica Pavlinko of Portland, OR, son, John (Anja) Pavlinko of Valencia, CA, stepdaughter, Marci Palermo, Erie, PA, sister, Jody (Arun) Ghosh of West Lafayette, IN, brother, Jerrold (Stephanie) Pavlinko of Port Orange, FL, granddaughter, Sarah Pavlinko, niece, Anjona Ghosh, nephews; Anando and Ajay Ghosh, step grandchildren: Michaela (Sharayah) Palermo, Cameron Palermo, and Sydney Palermo, his best friend, Pat Hanlin, and his beloved dogs; Karmyn and Roxie. There will be no visiting hours observed per John’s wishes. Arrangements were handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. A celebration of life will be held in the Spring of 2023. A special thank you to the doctors and nurses who cared for John during his stay at St. Vincent Hospital. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
