Obituary of Mary Gerlach

Mary Margaret Adams Gerlach Mary Margaret Adams Gerlach, age 77, of Millcreek Twp., died Saturday, October 25, 2008 at St. Vincent Health Center of a broken heart. She was born in Erie on November 9, 1930 the daughter of the late ,Walter Adams and Florence Blasé. She was a graduate of Academy High School. Mary was founder and manager of the Zurn National Credit Union until her retirement. She was a member of St. Josephs Bread of Life Church, Elks Club, and the Siebenbuerger Club. She enjoyed playing cards and bowling with her friends and she also enjoyed sports. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Gerlach who died on October 11, 2007. She is survived by one sister, Arlene Engel, of Millcreek, four children: Bob and Lori Gerlach Wallis, grandchildren, David, Kelly Gaines (Brian), and Lindsey Wallis. Mark and Sharon Gerlach, grandchildren Mitch (Nora) Gerlach, great grandchildren, Griffin and Camryn Gerlach, grandson Adam (Jolene) Gerlach, great grandsons, Chase and Carter Gerlach. Bill (Shelley) Gerlach, granddaughters, Tara Gerlach, Trista (Doug) Gerlach Johnson, grandson, Derek Gerlach. Bob (Diane) Gerlach, grandsons, Nick and Nathan Gerlach, and granddaughter, Erin Gerlach Watterson. Many cousins, nieces and nephews also survive. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited there on Thursday for the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Private interment.
