Obituary of Mike Till

Michael “Mike” Ambrose Till age 64, of Erie, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, February 26, 2023 at UPMC-Hamot Hospital in Erie. He was born in Erie, Pennsylvania on June 30, 1958, the son of Judith and Ambrose Till, Jr. Mike was a graduate of McDowell High School class of 1976. After graduation, Mike worked for Till Distributing Company, where he learned his life-long career skills of HVAC and plumbing. He worked in the heating and cooling industry much of his life until becoming self-employed. Mike loved spending time with friends and family. He often volunteered to serve Thanksgiving dinner to the homeless and if someone needed help, they could always depend on Mike. He will be remembered best as a friend to all he met and lending a helping hand up to all who needed it. Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Matilda and Ambrose Till, Sr. and Eva and Charles Ouellet. Mike is survived by his parents, Judith and Ambrose Till, Jr.; a son, Matthew Till and his wife Allison (Knorr) of Erie; a brother, Mark Till and his wife Mary (Marchal) of Erie; three Grandchildren, Lilly, Ashlynn and Kaitlynn Till; a nephew, Jeff Till and two nieces, Jessica and Sarah Till, all of Erie. Family and Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home, 4216 Sterrettania Rd., Erie, on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monsignor Edward M. Lohse will conclude the visiting hours with a Catholic prayer service. Memorials may be made to the Erie VA.
