Obituary of Richard William Crabb

Richard William Crabb Richard William Crabb, age 78, of Erie, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at UPMC-Hamot. He was born in Erie, PA on October 9, 1944, the son of the late Clinton and Ruth Nemenz Crabb. He was a 1962 graduate of Tech Memorial H.S. and was employed at and retired from McCarty Printing after 50 years. Richard loved his cabin and all his activities with the Tyrian Masonic Lodge and the Zem Zem Shrine Club. Dick was a life member of the Zem Zem Shrine, the Siebenbuerger Club, the Ludlow Sportsman Club, Zem Zem Patrol, the Erie County Shrine Club, Tyrian Commonwealth Lodge #362, Scottish Rite Valley of Erie, and Royal Order of Jesters-Impresario Emeritus. He was a driver for the Shriner’s Hospital and was the Treasurer for the Zem Zem Shrine Club from 2015 thru 2023. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one sister Carolyn Jeanne Adler. He is survived by his beloved wife Susan K. Gehrlein Crabb, two daughters; Amy Crabb Schaefer (Erin), Carrie Crabb Lipinski, grandchildren: Malachi, Reeves, and Derek. Also surviving are one step- daughter Jennifer Richwalsky (Michael), three step- sons: Gerald Feige (Tammy), Steven Feige (Lillybeth), Timothy Feige (Cassandra), nine step- grandchildren, and his former wife Beverley Crabb. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Sunday, March 19, 2023 from 3 pm until 7 pm. A Masonic Service will be held at 6:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Erie Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 1645 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505.
