Obituary of Karl S. Anderson

Karl S. Anderson, beloved husband of Karen (Snow) Anderson, passed away June 14, 2023 at Fairview Manor. Karl was born December 26, 1943 in Warren, PA son of the late Carl E. Anderson and Jean (McMarrow) Steel and step-son of the late Donald Steele He was a graduate of Warren High School and Tri-State College (Trine University) in Angola, IN. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 4 years at Wright Patterson AFB. He enjoyed his family, traveling, model railroads, and all of the miniature dachshunds he owned during his lifetime. His favorite vacations included train trips through the Canadian Rockies and to Montana. He was a self-employed insurance agent for over 35 years, always ready to help his clients with their insurance needs. He was an active member of Christ United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents and step-father he was pre-deceased by his brother Pat Grace and his brother -in-law Gerald Fallon. He is survived by his wife Karen (Snow) Anderson, brother-in-law Kenneth (Christine) Snow; sisters-in-law Donna (Fred) Hawk and Diana Fallon; cousins Jim (Bettie) Bailey, Terrie (Fred) Mueller and Michele McDonald; 5 nieces and nephews and 9 great-nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his beloved miniature dachshund Teddy. Karl's family would like to thank the staff at Fairview Manor, UPMC Family Hospice of Erie and Erie VA Medical Center for their loving care and support. Visiting hours will be from 1:00PM -3:00PM on Monday, June 19, 2023 at the Dusckas- Martin Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd, Erie, PA 16506 with the funeral service immediately following. Private burial will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
