Joan Fatica, 86, of Erie went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, June 25, 2023. Joan loved the Lord and was a member of the Millcreek Community Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe & Evalyn Uber, husband Kenneth Fatica, Sr. on March 11, 2020, sister Eleanor Messner in 1991, niece Beth Pickerel in 2012, brother-in-law Neal Messner in 2021, and brother Tom Uber in 2022.
Joan worked at various jobs, including Erie Insurance Group where she was employed for 20 years, retiring in 1997.
Her passion was her home and entertaining every chance she got. She enjoyed board games, playing cards, and going out to lunch with her friends.
She is survived by a son, Ken Fatica Jr (Linda) of Erie and daughter, Debbie Wolfe (Steve) of Colorado. Grandchildren: Kayla Fatica, Kelsey Mikec (DJ), Mike Wolfe (Ciara), Melissa Relego (Ricardo), and six great-grandchildren: Sawyer, Olive, Grace, Esther, Eleanor, and Clara.
She is also survived by brothers: Larry Uber (Wilma) of TN, Bob Uber (Bev) of NC, and Norman Uber (Nancy) of AL, sister Phyllis Price (Don), and sister-in-law Shirley Uber (Tom) of NC along with numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours observed at Joan's request as she desires to donate her body to science. There will be a Memorial Service at 4:00 pm on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at the Millcreek Community Church, 4444 Sterrettania Rd officiated by Rev Jim Hodge. Family will be available at 3:00 to visit and remember Joan with friends. All arrangements were handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd.
