Obituary of Roy Eugene Lydic

Roy Eugene Lydic Roy Eugene Lydic, age 79, of West Springfield, passed away following heart surgery on Friday, July 14, 2023. He was born in San Marcos, TX on February 29, 1944, the son of the late Roy D. and Jean Lydic. He graduated from Tech Memorial H.S. in 1962 with a special certification in cabinet making. He received a certificate in IBM machine accounting in 1963. He worked as a truck driver for ABF for 30 years until he retired and moved to AZ. He moved back to the Erie area in 2013. He enjoyed woodworking and was a very talented craftsman. He was always doing projects for himself and others. He also enjoyed working on automobiles as well as fishing and watching movies. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Annetta Jean Myers. He is survived by his daughter Dawn Lydic of West Springfield, his son Randy Lydic (Rena) of Kennedy, NY, and his step-son, Kris D’Amuro of Ontario Canada. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. All arrangements were handled by the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd.
