Alexa Marie (Nedreski) Finley
Alexa Finley passed away unexpectedly on Sunday morning, August 20, 2023 in Augusta, Georgia.
Alexa was born on February 11, 1994, at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie, PA to her loving parents, Michael J. Nedreski and Lisa M. Musser. Alexa graduated from McDowell High School in 2012, later spending time as an au pair in Nyack, New York, where she met the love of her life and future husband, James Finley, a cadet at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Their first date was a romantic walk by the Hudson River where he later proposed. Alexa and James married on the beaches of Jamaica on June 6, 2016, and from there, began their life as a military couple, traveling across the United States and Europe with their cats, Arya and Siri, and dogs, Remy and Phoebe.
Alexa was compassionate, beyond thoughtful, giggly, and kind. A creative spirit, she enjoyed using her artistic talent to sew, felt, and crochet gifts for her friends and family. Alexa adored Harry Potter, decorating her home for the holidays, building Legos with her husband, and saving animals in need. Alexa never missed an opportunity to be there for somebody she loved and was truly a beautiful soul. Her impact on the world was that of a shooting star; a brilliant miracle that came and went too quickly, one that will never be forgotten.
