Charles “Chuck” W. Roward, Sr.
Charles Roward, age 91, of Erie, passed away suddenly while on vacation in KY. He was born in Erie, PA on March 1, 1932, the son of the late Lesly and Ethel Hazen Roward.
Chuck served in both the Army and Navy during the Korean War. He was employed at both Tellers Organ Co and Organ Supply as an organ builder for many years.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, the American Legion Post 773, and a life member of the Siebenbuerger Club. He enjoyed rodeos especially he had an interest in horses and he played drums in school and at other locations.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother Robert Roward.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years Jacqueline Lipinski Roward, four children: Chip, Steven (Kerry), Susan Laska (Alex), Craig Sharrer, his grandchildren: Joshua, Zachary, and Tyana Taylor, Paige and Peyton Roward, Leah Laska, Allen Sharrer, and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc, 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 3 pm until 7 pm and are invited there on Friday, September 1, 2023 at 11 am for the Funeral Service conducted by the Rev. Erik Young. Interment at Laurel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.
