MaryAnn Comita Miles

MaryAnn Comita Miles, “Grandma Russ”, age 91, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 18, 2023, at Greenfield Nursing Home.

She was born in Erie on August 12, 1932, the daughter of the late Patsy and Mary Comita. MaryAnn married Russell A. Miles on August 10, 1952 and they were married for 67 years.

In addition to her parents, MaryAnn was preceded in death by her husband, Russell A. Miles, two sisters; Eleanor and Angelina, and one brother Frank.

She is survived by her children: Michael Miles (Linda) and Nancy Zimmerman (Greg), her grandchildren: Joshua Miles (Tirzah), Courtney Miles, Zachary Zimmerman (Fiancé Dawn Anselment), Ryan Zimmerman, and Jacob Zimmerman (fiancé Kate Timon), great grandchildren; Chloe, Avery, and Parker Miles, Dylan Young, Zane and Arthur Zimmerman, sisters; Peggy Bebko and Patty Johnson, and many nieces and nephews.

MaryAnn was the bookkeeper for Russell’s company, Miles Heating & Cooling. They were winter snowbirds in FL for many years and in the summer, enjoyed spending time on their boat on Lake Erie. She also loved to cook and go to the Casino.

Private arrangements and entombment at Calvary Cemetery were entrusted to the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd.
